The first Sydney meeting of the Animal Justice Party was held at Redfern Town Hall (upstairs, 73 Pitt Street, Redfern on Thursday, 28 March.
This was the first in a series of regular Sydney Animal Justice Party meetings to be held on the last Thursday of each month.
At the first meeting, after an introduction to the AJP and each other, there was an opportunity to discuss how best to use this time and space for the coming months. There was also be a call for volunteers to join a couple of working parties - one for the election (e.g. getting AJP information out, including staffing the best booths for the AJP on Sept 14, registering scrutineers, etc.) and one for fundraising and events.
At future meetings the Vice President, Mark Pearson, will address everyone in April and the President, Steve Garlick, will address everyone in May as will NSW election candidates.
Redfern Town Hall is 10 mins walk through Prince Alfred Park from Central railway station and less than 10 mins along Redfern Street from Redfern railway station. Many buses stop nearby including the M20, 308, 309, 310.
